If you’ve travelled through an airport recently, you may have seen GDB’s ad playing on the television monitors in the terminals. The ad features footage and photos of GDB guide dog teams moving through the world confidently and safely on city streets, college campuses, and in suburban neighborhoods.

For Marsha Bukala, a guide dog was the difference between isolation and independence. “Jewel is this gift, the most incredible gift I’ve ever gotten,” she says. But that’s not all she gained from her relationship with GDB – Marsha gained a dear friend as well when she met Jewel’s volunteer puppy sitter, Kathy Wentworth, who also supports GDB through her donor advised fund. The two women quickly became fast friends.
