Why We Give: ‘You Had us at the GDB Graduation’
|
California residents John and Erika Ammirati first sponsored a Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) client and dog team in 1996 to honor Erika’s mother, Greta Brandeis, who had recently passed away. They thought it would be a one-time gift, but after attending a graduation on campus, the Ammiratis knew they were hooked. Twenty-four years later, they are still thrilled to be supporting GDB.

GDB Embarks on Two-Year Study with the American Foundation for the Blind
|
Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) is partnering with the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) to embark on an in-depth study to examine the long-term outlook for guide dog use in the United States and Canada.
This first-of-its-kind study seeks to determine why guide dog ownership is more prevalent in the United Kingdom, compared to the United States and Canada. We hope the insights from the study will help us understand how to remove barriers to serve more clients.
